Have you noticed, your Social Security check is now referred to as a “Federal Benefit Payment”?

The obama regime is now referring to our Social Security checks as a “Federal Benefit Payment.”
This isn’t a benefit – its earned income!

Not only did we all contribute to Social Security but our employers did too.

It totaled 15% of our income before taxes.

If you averaged $30K per year over your working life, that’s close to $180,000 invested in Social Security.
If you calculate the future value of your monthly investment in social security ($375/month, including both your and your employer’s contributions) at a meager 1% interest rate compounded monthly, after 40 years of working you’d have more than $1.3+ million dollars saved! This is your personal investment.
Upon retirement, if you took out only 3% per year, you’d receive $39,318 per year, or $3,277 per month.

That’s almost three times more than today’s average Social Security benefit of $1,230 per month, according to the Social Security Administration (Google it – it’s a fact).

And your retirement fund would last more than 33 years (until you’re 98 if you retire at age 65)!

I can only imagine how much better most average-income people could live in retirement if our government had just invested our money in low-risk interest-earning accounts.

Instead, the folks in Washington pulled off a bigger Ponzi scheme than Bernie Madoff ever did.

They took our money and used it elsewhere. They “forgot” that it was OUR money they were taking.

They didn’t have a referendum to ask us if we wanted to lend the money to them.

And they didn’t pay interest on the debt they assumed.

And recently, they’ve told us that the money won’t support us for very much longer.

But is it our fault they misused our investments?

And now, to add insult to injury, they’re calling it a “benefit,” as if we never worked to earn every penny of it.
Just because they “borrowed” the money, doesn’t mean that our investments were a  charity!

Actually they STOLE the money—let’s call it what it is!!!!

We have earned our right to Social Security and Medicare.

Demand that our legislators bring some sense into our government –

Find a way to keep Social Security and Medicare going, for the sake of that 92% of our population who need it.

Here’s a novel idea: Reduce the military budget to support our own population.

Get out of the countries who don’t want us there.

Bring our soldiers home and invest some of the $700B+ in giving them new careers building roads and parks, teaching our children, creating new technologies, discovering cures for illness.

Then take the rest and begin to pay back Social Security, and call it what it is:

Our Earned Retirement Income.

Open Letter To Alan Simpson

Alan Simpson, Senator from Wyoming , Co-Chair of Obama’s deficit commission, calls senior citizens the Greediest Generation as he compared “Social Security” to a Milk Cow with 310 million teats.

Here’s a response in a letter from PATTY MYERS in Montana. I think she is a little ticked off! She also tells it like it is!

This is what really gerks my chain, Social Security has been moved and re-named quite often by the politicians, which are the ones that have been robbing the SS bank for decades and now don’t want to pay it back…………. so if we call it something other than what it is and was created by law, we can cut it out of the budget and let it stand alone.

and what is the reason for the name change??? So they, the federal government can get more control of your retirement and future wage earners will be told that there is no SSA and you must accept what we may want to give you. Therefore, the 15.75% that is collected can be spent anyway the government desires and your money is gone.

Our government is literally working “fast and furious” in every avenue of our lives that it is getting harder and harder to keep track of the corruption. Thank God for the grassroots organizations that are working hard in all areas as whistle blowers. Now – what is the responsibility of ‘We the people’. Vote their arses out!!!!!

Our Nation is under attack on all fronts. Those doing the attacking are the same vermin who were spitting on and throwing dog crap on our Vietnam Veterans when they came home. Since then, they’ve festered and become the abhorrent squatters we have now in our White House. They cut their hair, took a bath and bought some suits….. to blend in.

But the SCHOOLS….. ugh. Those indoctrination camps have been churning out the glassy eyed, vitriolic, communist freaks by the millions into our society. We can say goodbye to an entire three, probably four or five, generations thanks to those DAMNED SCHOOLS. Nothing will change for us until we shut those indoctrination camps down and punish those responsible for this mess.

Today, our future looks quite bleak.

We need to send this article to our State Senators and State Representatives and challenge their irresponsible decisions. Why did they take money from Social Security and not pay back! I urge all of you to send this to your state senators and state representatives and ask them this question. We need to demand answers. We also need to cut their salaries, their pensions and length of term.

Agreed, and I can guess their response….

“It wasn’t ME who stole it!”

So glad I took my money manager’s suggestion 40 years ago when I started working for my former employer and put what I could into our 401k plan. Now I don’t have to rely on the government to make ends meet since retiring!

Why would they call it Federal Benefit payment when we and the employers pay into it not the government !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Some thing needs to change and fast !!!!!!!!!!!!!

The new Identification of “Social Security” to “Federal Benifit Payment” or “Federal Benifit Credit” …was directed from the Private “Federal Reserve Bank” to All American Banking institutions (AT THE DIRECTIVE OF THE CONGRESS FROM SECRET MEETINGS) as the first step in Obfiscation of Program Identity…to then initiate drastic program change…such as ELIMINATION!!! Now think of the terms ” Senate Select Commitee on Intelligence” and “Military Intelligence” ! Congress has already voted to eliminate social security completely , first by identification then by acctual program! You are the contributor but HAVE NO SAY IN THE MATTER…Its IN THe BOOKS AND DONE

It has actually been called a “federal benefit payment” since it began in 1936 but your right on all points we have been duped into the ponzi scheme by major proportions! Bernie Madoff and others may have learned from the goverment as well. Just look at the effects of the benefits employees of Galveston county Texas enjoy. They opted out of social security back in the 70s and are enjoying an average income well above the $3000 per month level mentioned here with conservative returns. Why do the people believe so much in the government, I’ll never know…

The politicians have pilfered the Social Security account to pay their other commitments and kickbacks. I *used* to be one of those people who trusted that our government had only our best interests in mind, and that our media were our “government watchdogs”. Little did I know what they were really up to. Oh, and let’s not forget Corzine, for whom obama swooned over his expertise on financial matters and was once considerd to head the Treasury….. Geithner’s (turbo-tax-timmy) job.

That Social Security check is our money, no one should have the right to take any of it away from an individual. We worked for that money and ir doesn’t belong to the government to do with as they please, IT IS OURS TO DO WITH AS WE PLEASE. KEEP YOU FINGERS OUT OF OUR POCKETS,JUST SO YOU CAN GO ON MORE VACATIONS OR HIRE MORE AIDES.YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO TOUCH ANY OF THAT MONEY!!!!!!!!

The Obama group has stepped over the line. They changed the name so that it can be borrowed and used to their own advantage. “I am not a greedy senior citizen. How dare they call me that. I am sick and tired of this government always threaten us (senior citizens) that they will take what we have paid into SOCIAL SECURITY and use it to their advantage. This has got to STOP!!! “We the people” have got to take a stand. I have been so proud to say my 66 yrs. that I AM AN AMERICAN and a VETERAN. “I AM NOT A GREEDY SENIOR CITIZEN.” In the AARP Bulletin of June 2011, page 32…”Social Security’s Enduring Truths” written by James Roosevelt Jr. tell about quote…”Social Security has not only been the most effective government program, it has been the most responsible government program. Social Security costs are funded out of its own dedicated revenue stream. It does not and cannot borrow money to finance its operations. There is no deficit financing.” Folks, read the article!

This is such a scam! I am pissed off. I earned a six figure income for more than 10 years and between 60K to 100K before that for five years. And now I am disabled and forced to live off of a fraction of what I paid into Social Security. And now the Obama administration wants to change the name on the check to Government Benefit check – as if he had anything to do with the amount of money that I have paid into Social Security.

This is unbeleaveable that our own government would try and slowly buffalo us into beleaving that are money we paid in for social security is some kind of benefit to wean us off of slowly and not something that we have coming back to us after all our years of paying into social security like it was for some charity. we deserve every penny back that we have paid in or it would be considered FRAUD and EMBEZZELEMENT and should be a punishable crime even when it is from our own government. STEALING IS NOT A WAY TO FIX OUR BUDGET. we pay our taxes. our government has to be accountable for the holes they dig and earn there keep!!
