Massachusetts Citizens Relinquishing Their Firearms In Return For Vaccine and Gift Cards

Give Us Your Guns, Get A Free Flu Shot – And A Gift Card

The city of Worcester, Massachusetts is asking citizens to bring their weapons to the police department next weekend as part of the city’s annual “Goods for Guns Buyback Program.” In return for the guns, the city will offer gift certificates, and – a free flu shot.

Telegram.com reports:

“City residents, or residents of any other community, may bring their unwanted weapons, unloaded and wrapped in a bag, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday to the Worcester Police headquarters in Lincoln Square, or from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Dec. 8 to the Worcester Division of Public Health, 25 Meade St.”

Since the program began in 2002, “Goods for Guns” has collected approximately 2,200 guns. Last year 40 guns were collected by the police department. Deputy Chief McGinn said guns that are turned in are destroyed.

Really? How stupid are people? I guess a lot of them are parents of Gang-Bangers who want more welfare or something. I’m not sure I would trust the “Flu Shot” either!

Better they should choose to take the flu. I wouldn’t give up my guns for ANYTHING, let alone to be injected with a questionable, government administered “vaccine”.

Indeed, I recall a few other test programs such as this. I believe they were conducted in AZ, CA and CHI.

      IDIOTS.

Here in St. Louis, MO the City police regularly buy back guns from the savages in the city, thousands get bought back every year. mostly Saturday Night Specials and junkers. My brother was shot at in front of his house by some car-jackers last Christmas and the savages can’t even shoot straight (thankfully) the only registered a few hits on a car from close range (standing in front of him after blocking the street with their van). He doesn’t own any firearms but this is making him think about it. One of my friends (Armorer for a local SWAT Squad) always says that Police carry guns to protect themselves, not the public and their job (the police) is to paint the outline on the sidewalk for the coroner. Makes you want to buy a firearm doesn’t it?

No criminal with a warrant or on probation/parole are going to walk their firearms into a police station and relinquish them. Guns in the hands of each and every law abiding citizen who is trained, responsible and willing to use them is what we need. It’s proven that criminals seek gun free zones and will refrain before attacking/violating someone when they might have a firearm. Police have no legal obligation to protect us. You’re right that their guns are for their own protection. I will not be forced to depend on unreliable sources for defending my life and safety. I have a human and civil right to defend MYSELF, and nobody has the right to take that away from me and make me a victim.

That’s the beauty of our human rights. The government and their mobs & thugs don’t get to touch them. As long as we stand and fight together. As Benjamin Franklin said….. “We must indeed all hang together, or most assuredly we shall all hang separately.”
