I love how he converts the Ruger “Mini-12” with a stock change around the seven minute point. Federal Law calls the automatic sear assembly itself a machine gun even though there is nothing attached to it, it’s merely the connecting assembly between the disconnector and the trigger/sear block. This small piece of machinery (about two inches long, an inch high and one-half inch wide) cannot even be installed without machine work being done to the firearm. Possession of the automatic sear alone can get you charged with possession of a “machine gun” if you don’t have a Federal License for it (most States allow this and it costs about $300 and requires a serious background check). My son got an opportunity to fire a LEGAL 9mm fully automatic UZI sub-machine gun at a gun club and had a blast. The owner wanted $20,000 for it. The semi-automatic version was for sale at $600. Needless to say he didn’t get either.
