To The Brady Campaign….. “REALLY?!?”

We’ve seen NOTHING but lies from those cretins over at the brady campaign to destroy our Bill of Rights, but THIS, my Friends, takes the cake!  These idiots have been so deeply and thoroughly brainwashed by the lies being vomited down their throats each and every day.  Each and every one of them have become nothing more than  brain-dead sociopath pathological liars.

 

I am ONE HUNDRED PERCENT certain that their “plans would change”….. I just wish one of them would try testing this idiotic theory at my house…… but I’d settle for them trying this out at ANY gun owner’s house.

No sooner had Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper signed three gun-control bills into law Wednesday than the economic backlash began.

Officials at gun equipment manufacturer Magpul Industries confirmed that the company would make good on its vow to leave Colorado if the governor signed the bill to limit ammunition-magazine capacity. The Erie-based manufacturer confirmed on its Facebook page that it will start its transition “almost immediately.

“We will likely become a multi-state operation as a result of this move, and not all locations have been selected,” said the company in a statement, adding that it expects to begin manufacturing its PMAG-brand magazines within 30 days of the bill-signing.

Magpul may be the first firearms-related business to relocate as a result of state gun-control laws, but it probably won’t be the last. Companies in Connecticut, Maryland and New York are considering moves to more gun-friendly pastures as their state legislatures act on restrictive firearms measures similar to those pushed through by state Democrats here.

Founded in 1999, Magpul stands as a relative newcomer to the firearms business, but even companies with hundreds of years of history in their states may look to relocate as a result of political shifts.

In New York, where Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed laws banning so-called assault weapons and limiting magazine capacity to seven rounds, venerable gun manufacturer Remington Arms is being wooed by officials in at least a half-dozen other states.

“We are carefully evaluating our options,” Teddy Novin, marketing director for Remington parent company Freedom Group, Inc., told the Utica Observer-Dispatch in January.

 

Colorado Sheriff Refuses To Enforce Gun-Control Bills

GREELEY, Colo. (AP) — A Colorado sheriff says he won’t enforce two aggressive gun-control measures waiting to be signed into law by Gov. John Hickenlooper.

Weld County Sheriff John Cooke told The Greeley Tribune (http://bit.ly/141Ee2z ) that Democratic lawmakers are scrambling after recent mass shootings, and the bills are “feel-good, knee-jerk reactions that are unenforceable.”

One bill expands background checks on firearm purchases, and the other limits ammunition magazines to 15 rounds. The 15-round magazine limit would make Colorado the first state outside the East Coast to ratchet back gun rights after last year’s shootings in Aurora, Colo., and Newtown, Conn.

Colorado’s gun-control debates have been closely watched because of the state’s gun-loving frontier heritage and painful history of mass shootings, most recently last summer’s movie theater shooting that killed 12.

The sheriff said he “won’t bother enforcing” the laws because it would be impossible for officers to keep track of how the requirements are being met by gun owners — and he and other sheriffs are considering suing the state to block the measures if they are signed into law.

Cooke said the bill passed Friday requiring a $10 background check to legally transfer a gun wouldn’t keep firearms out of the hands of those who use them for violence.

“Criminals are still going to get their guns,” he said.

The sheriff’s office did not immediately return calls left by The Associated Press.

The magazine-limit bill passed earlier in the week will technically ban all magazines because of a provision that outlaws any magazine that can be altered, he said, adding that all magazines can be altered to a higher capacity.

Expanded checks have been a top priority for Hickenlooper, who called for the proposal during his State of the State address in January.

Cooke oversees law enforcement in Colorado’s third-largest county by area. His jurisdiction includes its largest city, Greeley, and large swaths of farmland and areas of oil and gas production.

Colt shuts down Conn. gun plant so workers can go to Conn. Capitol to oppose gun bills

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — The president of one of the nation’s oldest gun manufacturers closed down his Connecticut factory Thursday morning and bused 400 of his workers to the state Capitol so they could personally urge lawmakers not to pass gun control legislation that they say could risk their livelihoods.

Dennis Veilleux, president of the Hartford-based Colt’s Manufacturing Co., said even though he has spoken with legislators and Gov. Dannel P. Malloy’s staff about his trepidations several times, he believes they don’t truly understand the financial ramifications of the legislation being proposed in the wake of the deadly Dec. 14 massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown.

State officials have listened to the concerns he and other Connecticut gun company officials have voiced, “but I would say it’s more pacifying us,” Veilleux said. That’s why he decided to rent 10 buses and bring over his first shift workers, plus some second- and third-shift ones, and some suppliers.

“These are the faces of the jobs at Colt,” Veilleux said in an interview with The Associated Press while riding on a bus back to the factory. “Each of these people represents other people in the state. They represent the community and, in a lot of cases, they’re the breadwinners of their families. And more and more, manufacturing jobs are hard to come by.”

Colt has been operating in Connecticut for the past 175 years.

The Colt workers packed the Legislative Office Building, many holding signs that read “Save Our Jobs,” as legislative leaders continued to meet behind closed doors, trying to craft a bipartisan response to the school massacre. They’re scheduled to meet again on Friday.

Meanwhile, members of the General Assembly’s Public Safety and Security Committee heard testimony on numerous gun control bills, including a new gun offender registry, an expanded assault weapons ban, ammunition restrictions and a ban on bulk purchases of handguns.

Ron Pinciaro, executive director of Connecticut Against Gun Violence, defended the breadth of legislation.

“We feel that because of the enormity of the situation that happened on Dec. 14, that if we just put some Band-Aids on things, it’s really not going to be enough,” Pinciaro said. Twenty first-graders and six educators were killed at Sandy Hook. The shooter had also killed his mother before eventually committing suicide.

Eric Koenigs, a manufacturing engineer at Colt for the past nine years, has worked in the industry for 18 years. Even though Veilleux has not threatened to move Colt out of Connecticut, Koenigs said he is extremely concerned about the fate of his job if, for example, the state’s current assault weapons ban is expanded.

“I never thought it would happen here,” said Koenigs.

Connecticut is known as the “Arsenal of the Nation,” a reputation first gained in the American Revolution. In the early 19th century, inventors Eli Whitney and Simeon North began making firearms in Connecticut with interchangeable parts, which is often recognized as the beginning of modern mass production.

Democratic members of a legislative subcommittee charged with reviewing gun laws recently recommended exempting Connecticut gun manufacturers from a proposed law expanding the definition of an assault weapon. Even though the weapons could not be purchased in the state, they could still be manufactured here.

Veilleux contends his company would still suffer, even though it currently doesn’t sell many rifles in Connecticut.

“If we ban this product in the state where we make it, our customers will take their business to another brand,” he said. “When we start to get erosion of our customers, we lose our market share.”

There are numerous postings on Colt’s Facebook page from gun advocates urging the company to move out of Connecticut, which they claim does not respect the constitutional right to bear arms. There also are postings from people urging Colt not to supply law enforcement with guns in New York, a state that recently enacted strong gun control initiatives.

Veilleux said gun customers are well-connected and know what is happening in different states in terms of gun control efforts.

“Our customers don’t want to support the state of New York. So our customers aren’t going to want to support the state of Connecticut,” he said. “And our association is so strong with the state of Connecticut, that it’s inevitable that it’s going to begin to erode.”

Another Firearms Manufacturer, CMMG, Refuses To Sell Firearms To Anti-Second Amendment Governments

CMMG, INC. ANNOUNCES NEW POLICY ON STATE REGULATION OF FIREARMS

The Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution and all law abiding gun owners in our country are currently under assault. Since the horrible tragedy in Connecticut, politicians and media alike are actively demonizing and criminalizing citizens of these great United States who are exercising their rights under the Second Amendment. The emotional responses and decisions being made right now are extremely dangerous and short sighted.

As individual states elect to pass more restrictive gun laws, CMMG will adhere to each state’s regulations. However, CMMG has made a policy decision that it will not supply products to law enforcement agencies in states that have enacted legislation preventing individual citizens from owning similar firearms. CMMG will no longer provide these agencies with firearms, magazines or any other products that are restricted or no longer available to civilians. CMMG will not stand by on the sidelines and let America’s rights be stripped away. CMMG will not support states that have police departments and law enforcement agencies arming themselves with firearms and weapons that are not available to law abiding citizens. CMMG does not believe in separate classes of citizens and will not engage in sales to states that enact legislation promoting that belief.

CMMG will, however, make exceptions to police departments and law enforcement agencies that have taken a public stand refusing to recognize or enforce unconstitutional firearm restrictions. Agencies making this stand are putting their careers on the line to take a constitutional stand for all Americans as fellow citizens. Abraham Lincoln spoke on June 16, 1858, and stated that “a house divided against itself cannot stand;” CMMG supports those who support our freedom.

CMMG, as industry partners, and gun owners (including law enforcement agencies), need to stand up and stand together to counter this assault on our freedom and our constitutional rights. The Constitution is the supreme legal authority in our land, and we are bound by its words. It states in the Preamble that it was written to “form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity.” The Founding Fathers agreed the best way to establish this was through the Bill of Rights which includes the Second Amendment. Let us take this stand together, unified, to continue allowing this country to be the beacon of freedom to the world.

Olympic Arms was recently asked to advertise in the FOP Journal; the official magazine of the Fraternal Order of Police. It is well known that the FOP is a staunch supporter of Gun Control, had backed the AWB under Bill Clinton, and supports the current AWB under consideration that was introduced by Diane Feinstein. The FOP was actually accredited as being one of the sources that helped prepare the language of Gun Control suggestions that were forwarded by Vice President Biden. Below is a copy of OA’s response to the FOP Journal:

Montana Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association Position on Gun Legislation

The Montana Sheriffs & Peace Officers Association (MSPOA) is
committed to public safety, and each of our members has taken an oath
to uphold and protect the Constitution of the State of Montana and
the United States Constitution, including the Second Amendment.

The MSPOA believes in the Second Amendment of the United States
Constitution, which guarantees the right of the people to keep and
bear arms and that this right shall not be infringed. It is important
to note that no legislation affecting this right has been introduced.

As our state and country continue to discuss and debate gun control
legislation, the position of our association remains steadfast: the
MSPOA will not waver in our defense of the Constitution and will
stand to preserve our constituents’ right to possess firearms and the
protections insured by the other nine amendments contained in the
Bill of Rights.

The MSPOA feels that any legislation that takes away constitutional
protections, including gun rights, from law-abiding citizens will not
alleviate or eliminate the threat from violent or mentally ill
individuals. In fact, it would expose our law-abiding neighbors to
violence with fewer resources to counter them with.

America has endured violent assaults of children and adults at the
hands of criminals who have used firearms as well as other weapons.
The MSPOA does not believe that it is the fault of the weapon, but
that of the often mentally disturbed individual who wields it. The
MSPOA has long supported the efforts of the mental health community
and will continue to do so.

As professional peace officers, elected and sworn to uphold both the
State and U.S. Constitutions, we additionally believe in the
importance of the division of power and roles of each of the three
branches of government, at both the state and federal level. MSPOA
feels that now is the time to discuss violence in its totality, not
simply as an issue of “gun” violence. Violence is a result of a
breakdown on many fronts: family, gangs, drugs, lack of proper mental
health treatment, and the proliferation of violence in media, just to
name a few. The discussion must include stakeholders from all
disciplines who are dedicated to and willing to address the myriad
and complex issues related to the safety of our communities and our country.

The MSPOA remains committed to the safety of the citizens of the
State of Montana. We will dedicate our efforts toward active
participation in the legislative process and the protection of the
rights of the people of our state. We welcome and encourage our
neighbors’ active participation in this process as well. As Congress
and the Montana legislature debate issues surrounding violence, the Second Amendment, and gun rights, the MSPOA will insure that our voices will be heard.

These days, there are few few things to admire about the socialist, bankrupt and culturally degenerating USA, but at least so far, one thing remains: the right to bare arms and use deadly force to defend one’s self and possessions.

This will probably come as a total shock to most of my Western readers, but at one point, Russia was one of the most heavily armed societies on earth. This was, of course, when we were free under the Tsar. Weapons, from swords and spears to pistols, rifles and shotguns were everywhere, common items. People carried them concealed, they carried them holstered. Fighting knives were a prominent part of many traditional attires and those little tubes criss crossing on the costumes of Cossacks and various Caucasian peoples? Well those are bullet holders for rifles.

Various armies, such as the Poles, during the Смута (Times of Troubles), or Napoleon, or the Germans even as the Tsarist state collapsed under the weight of WW1 and Wall Street monies, found that holding Russian lands was much much harder than taking them and taking was no easy walk in the park but a blood bath all its own. In holding, one faced an extremely well armed and aggressive population Hell bent on exterminating or driving out the aggressor.

TWG: Oh, this is rich.  Those bureaucrats squatting on thrones at obama’s “Gun Violence Task Force” include ERIC HOLDER….. The radical extremist who supported trafficking of thousands of high powered weapons into the hands of Mexican drug cartels and islamic terrorists, who refused to act on violence and felonious activities committed by the violent terrorist group, Black Panthers, and who, as a radical extremist college student, participated in an ARMED TAKEOVER of offices at Columbia University.   Yeah, THAT eric holder.  Then we have Janey Napolitano….. Who designates American Veterans, TEA Partiers and Libertarian Ron Paul supporters  as “Domestic Terrorists”, as she went about purchasing BILLIONS of rounds of ammunition, now hidden away and UNACCOUNTED FOR.  This ought to be an interesting “task force”. Can’t wait to see what they vomit out for the American People to swallow. Let’s not forget Worthless slap-happy lying liar, Joe Biden.  “Banning guns is an idea who’s time has come.” ~Joe Biden   If they even TRY to introduce another “Assault Weapons Ban” they’re going to prove themselves even more idiotic than we know them to be today.  The first was was an utter FAILURE, which is why it was allowed to shrivel up and go away. Oh, and here’s a news flash to those IDIOTS.  It’s not “Gun Violence” just as it’s not “Swimming pool violence”, “Vehicle violence”, “Doctor violence” and “Small plastic toy violence”.

US Gun Violence Task Force Holds First Meeting

WHITE HOUSE — A gun violence task force, created by President Barack Obama and headed by Vice President Joe Biden, held its first meeting Thursday to begin to seek solutions to gun violence in the wake of the massacre of children and adults at an elementary school in Connecticut.Biden’s job is to guide the group of Cabinet officials and government agency chiefs as they consult with city and state officials and others to come up with ideas, and draw up recommendations for Congress.

Thursday’s meeting included state law enforcement officials.  Also present — Attorney General Eric Holder, Secretary of Education Arne Duncan, Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano and Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius.

Obama has said the many complexities of the gun violence problem in America — including mental health, education and the constitutional right to bear arms — must not prevent action.

Opening the meeting, Biden reiterated Mr. Obama’s determination in the wake of the school shootings in Newtown, Connecticut that left 20 children and six adults dead.

“The president is absolutely committed to keeping his promise that we will act, and we will act in a way that is designed, even as he says, if we can only save one life, we have to take action,” Biden said.

President Obama says he will act without delay on task force recommendations, and ensure that proposals are sent to Capitol Hill and acted upon by Congress “in a timely manner.”

The Connecticut shootings created an unprecedented level of national debate, and seemingly momentum for some sort of action.  But the attention of Congress next year still will be on difficult fiscal issues.

During a news conference focusing on the apparent impasse with President Obama over a fiscal deal, House of Representatives Speaker Republican John Boehner would not commit to taking up gun control legislation.

“He has appointed Vice President Biden to lead a commission; when the vice president’s recommendations come forward we will certainly take them into consideration.  But at this point I think our hearts and souls ought to be, to think about those victims in this horrible tragedy,” Boehner said.

At the White House, reporters tried to obtain a clearer picture of how the president will pursue his gun violence action agenda.

Besides congressional action, which may be difficult to achieve in the face of the powerful gun lobby groups, Obama has the option of issuing executive orders to move the process forward.

Press secretary Jay Carney had this response when asked about this avenue for action.

“There are the specific things already that the president has called on Congress to do, and will continue to call on Congress to do.  There will be other efforts that will require congressional action I suspect, but as we said from the beginning it does not begin and end with congressional action.  There are numerous other things that we need to do as a nation and that we in Washington can do,” Carney said.

In remarks Wednesday, President Obama said a majority of Americans support banning the sale of military-style assault weapons, and high capacity ammunition clips, and support laws that would require background checks before all gun purchases.
